Ebay

Ok, I admit it, I'm a pretty big ebay fan. Not crazy (I don't have a gold star by my name), but I do love a bargain...that is, unless it's at my own expense. So here's my latest execution of a half-baked idea.

I have lots of stuff and I don't want lots of stuff. My bright idea was to sell random stuff on ebay, which seems like it should be really easy, but I've been trying to get around to this for several years. The simplist explanation is that I would bore quickly of the process, reading the fine print, figuring out how to set up the account for billing, worrying endlessly about what disclaimers to print, etc.

Well anyway, finally, last night I sold my first item, $12.50 for a $200 purse. Major let down. When I factor in that shipping is going to cost me an extra $0.10 over what I originally estimated, the $1.50 that ebay took to post it and the $1 that PayPal swiped to process the payment, I net $9.90.

I think I'll have the post office pick up the package, so that I don't have to factor in the cost of gas.

Ivey's shower 3/17/07

Little Ivey's getting married-so this past weekend, I made a quick trip home for my cousin's bridal shower. Hard to believe it! I still remember us running around our grandparents farm...eating strawberries right from the field. We called her little Ivey in my house because my best friend's name was also Ivy (without the "e").
